Medford Children’s Art Showcase

Don’t miss the Ninth Medford Children’s Art Showcase. This is a citywide exhibit of work by students in the Medford Public Schools. This collaborative and inclusive public exhibit celebrates the creativity and skill of our kids and art educators. Artwork by students from several age groups offer a unique snapshot of the continuum of art learning.

This exhibit has grown from 32 participants in 2009 to more than 400 participants. The kids are excited that their work will be displayed outside of the school environment. This exhibit displays the richness of arts education in the Medford Public Schools. Hosted this year at the Medford Public Library, the exhibit celebrates Medford’s talented students and art educators every year.

  • Student Artist Reception: 3:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2018
  • Exhibit Admission: free and open to the public

The Medford Children’s Art Showcase is supported in part by a grant from the Medford Arts Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. We are grateful to the Blick Art Room Aid program for many years of support, however, that program has been discontinued. To contribute funds toward supplies please contact Jenn DesAutels at jenn@studiojcd.com. Every dollar goes directly to exhibit supplies such as tape and black poster board. The exhibit is coordinated by local volunteers.
